TOPIC: Best IAX client

Best IAX client 24 Jul 2007 20:50 #36

  • Ronoc
I have been testing several IAX clients for my company's VOIP system, and VOIX manager has by far been the most stable, and feature laden software I have used. We love it. Even though we will only have one or two managers, we will still have other users using this software just for its phone. Would be great to see a simple softphone version of Voix that could be sold for less.

Congrats on a great product. You should submit this for an apple design award

Thank you for your preference,
Voix Manager in the final release will run as Iax phone for free, if you need a good iax phone without all the manager functions like extension management, you can continue to use voix manager.

Probably in the next future (I hope as soon as possible) I can release just the free iax phone maybe with a skinable interface.
For now I'm very busy to make Voix manager more stable and useful possible.

Ronoc,
About Apple design award, thank you, but Apple since now has been the the only one that totally ignored my Voix Manager, (and my primary platform in preference is Apple since 1997), maybe like Microsoft they don't like people that develop multiplatform project with tools other than their.
But for now, if you want to develop something that is true multiplatform using the same code in the painless way there is only a solution: Qt from trolltech. With Qt you can develop all things in the better way and make project that exceed every limit of the imaginary.
Voix Manager looks and works in the same way in all platforms Linux, Apple and Windows.

Great to hear about the free softphone edition. I have shared the QT info with one of our Mac Programmers and he was very excited. Thanks again
